Welcome to another week as we move towards the middle of February. Just a reminder that Valentine’s Day is this weekend. Check out these last minute DIY Valentine’s Day gifts you may want to consider if you didn’t get her anything. You could also make dinner and include some music to make it more romantic. My featured Throwback Thursday track is from J. Cole and his classic record Love Yourz. Love Yourz was the fourth single from the 2014 Forest Hills Drive album from J. Cole. The 2014 Forest Hills Drive album has been considered J. Cole’s best album. The album sold over six million copies and won Album of the Year for Billboard and BET. The album has been mentioned as one of the best albums of 2014 and of all-time. My weekly playlist consisted of some classic albums this past week.
Nas It Was Written, All Eyez on Me, Notorious Big Greatest Hits and The Score from the Fugees were played. J. Cole did release his new album called The Fall-Off on Friday and it’s a great album. Speaking of albums, Future celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his Evol project this past week. In the sports world, the Winter Olympics are ongoing and have no update on what’s going on. Super Bowl LX took place, and the Seattle Seahawks are the new champions. The Seahawks dominated the Patriots en route to a 29-13 win. The NBA Trade deadline saw a lot of moves and as an Atlanta Hawks fan it made me intrigued. Check out the video for Love Yourz from J. Cole up above. Below you can check out the track listings and stream links to the 2014 Forest Hills Drive and The Fall-Off.
